Analyst, Credit Operations
Obra Capital is seeking an Analyst, Credit Operations to join our Operations team in our New York office. Reporting to our Head of Operations, the purpose of this role is to help support our growing credit business and expansion into CLO management. The individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, all facets of the operations process related to structured credit, CLO, asset based finance and special situations businesses. This role will engage with investment professionals (including portfolio managers and traders), our infrastructure teams, (including accounting, finance, tax, compliance, legal) and third-party service providers in managing and controlling the daily portfolio activities for our investment products. The ideal candidate understands the securities trade life cycle, and has experience with private debt, structured credit, CLOs, fixed income, and credit derivative assets.
BELOW ARE A LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsibilities
Support all operational functions that support portfolio management and trading across the firm’s credit businesses
Assist in the onboarding of operational infrastructure and processes
Interact and liaise with internal teams, 3rd party service providers (including portfolio & order management systems, and data & service providers), and counterparties to oversee the full life cycle of private debt, structured credit, and fixed income assets.
Review and support the daily, monthly and quarterly valuation and reconciliation process
Participate in the firm’s cash management & treasury functions, supporting liquidity and collateral management practices
Prepare portfolio and manager-level reports; analyze portfolio results including holdings, returns, leverage, exposures, etc.
Execute department procedures and controls to ensure adherence to department quality and precision standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance preferred
1-3+ years relevant operations experience in the investment management space
Experience with structured credit, CLOs, private credit, fixed income, trade life cycle, settlement, and administration processes preferred
Experience working with portfolio and order management systems- Enfusion experience, a plus
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with the financial industry and Bloomberg is advantageous
In accordance with New York State pay transparency laws the salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
